COVID-19 Tests

We provide a customized COVID-19
testing strategy to meet your specific needs.

Tests We Offer

RT-PCR

The COVID-19 real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test is a viral diagnostic test used for the identification of SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19). PCR specifically identifies the RNA (ribonucleic acid) sequences that comprise the genetic material of the virus. PCR is considered the confirmatory test for any rapid COVID-19 test.

Pooled Testing

Pooled testing is a viral screening test. Pooled testing allows 25-100 individuals to be tested for SARS-CoV-2 in the same amount of time (and for the same price!) as an individual test. This is a great method for screening schools and businesses at a lower cost without forfeiting accuracy.

Antigen Testing

Antigen tests are commonly used in the identification of SARS-CoV-2. Antigen tests are immunoassays that detect the presence of a specific viral antigen, indicating current viral infection. Although less sensitive, antigen testing is a time-saving and relatively inexpensive option.

RT-LAMP

RT-LAMP (loop-meditated isothermal amplification) is a rapid viral diagnostic test used for the detection of SARS-CoV-2. RT-LAMP is one of the most accurate rapid tests available and is comparable to PCR confirmatory testing in a laboratory setting.

Sequencing

Viral sequencing is a method used to identify the infecting strain of SARS-CoV-2.  The sequencing process helps us better understand how COVID-19 is spreading. Early detection of new strains is essential to pandemic management.

Antibody

Antibody testing measures antibodies in your blood to determine if you have ever had a past infection with the virus that causes COVID-19. This test is not diagnostic and should be followed up with a viral diagnostic test i.e. PCR or RT-LAMP
